Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is just around the corner, and all eyes are on iOS 27. Following the foundational AI updates in iOS 26, this year's release is poised to completely redefine the iPhone experience.

#1New Siri with Standalone App & Chatbot Features

Siri is expected to be the crown jewel of iOS 27, receiving a total AI overhaul. The most significant shift is the introduction of a standalone Siri app for the iPhone.

This new upgraded Siri is rumored to offer:

#4Apple Wallet: 'Create a Pass'

A highly requested feature is finally arriving: 'Create a Pass'. iOS 27 will enable users to store virtually any ticket, pass, or membership card in Apple Wallet.

Users can create a pass from scratch or use the iPhone's camera to scan a QR code and instantly turn it into a digital ticket. The feature includes robust customization tools for styles, images, colors, and text fields. Apple is reportedly testing three template options: standard (orange), membership (blue for gyms/clubs), and event (purple for concerts/movies).

#5Apple Health Gets Free Premium Upgrades

Apple Health is receiving upgrades that were originally destined for a paid subscription service. Reporting indicates Apple had been building an 'Apple Health+' service, but leadership decided to pivot and release these features for free in the Health app instead.

Expected features include educational videos created by physicians, AI-powered coaching and wellness suggestions based on your Apple Watch data, and far more robust nutritional tracking (tying perfectly into the new Camera Visual Intelligence). Note that these might arrive in a later iOS 27.x update rather than day one.

The iOS keyboard is getting smarter. In addition to correcting misspelled words, iOS 27 will introduce an autocorrect expansion that resembles tools like Grammarly. The keyboard will focus on sentence structure, offering grammar-focused alternative word suggestions and tone adjustments in real-time.

If you are a heavy Safari user, iOS 27's Apple Intelligence will automatically organize your digital life. Similar to how Apple Podcasts uses AI to create custom chapters, Safari will be able to analyze the contents of your open tabs and automatically suggest names for Tab Groups.
